Group mat-based classes are a great way to experience the benefits of Pilates. Class sizes are limited, so that I can ensure the personal attention required for you to get the very most from your practice.
My style of teaching has remained consistent, following the 6 basic Pilates principles - Breath, Precision, Concentration, Control, Centering and Flow.
Pilates is a full body workout, which means taking time to mobilise the spine and the body’s other joints, freeing limbs to move effortlessly releasing tension and restoring balance.
Incorporating mindful movement to breath is a wonderful way to connect the mind and body, it helps focus on the muscles being engaged therefore making them work efficiently,gaining optium results. Throughout the hour session we move between strengthening exercises, balance and mobility work followed by a rewarding stretch after each core strengthening section, not only to stay flexible but to enjoy some stillness and relaxation, It is important to stay strong so why not find a relaxing way of doing so.
After just a few classes you will notice improved flexibility and posture, increased muscle strength and tone,and generally feel more confident in your body. My aim is to have you finish each class feeling relaxed, energised and a tiny bit taller.
